Battery-free Wireless Sensors
Battery-free Wireless Sensors are powered by a small solar panel that eliminates the need for wires or batteries. The sensors communicate with EnOcean compatible receivers that control virtually any on/off device. The sensors can be used for temperature control, motion sensing and to detect an open door or window. Battery-free Wireless Sensors make difficult wiring easy and are often used during remodeling projects or to expand existing control systems.
The Battery-free Wireless Magnetic Window/Door Sensor is used to monitor when something moves. Using the integrated reed contact, the module monitors the position of a nearby magnet and informs about changes of the status. This sensor is similar to those used in common home and building security systems. Easily add new sensors to an existing system or create a new system without running any wires to the control panel. Since the Wireless Magnetic Window/Door Sensor is battery-free there is never any maintanence which is helpful in large buildings where battery replacement can be a large task.
Battery-free Wireless temperature Sensors send wireless signals whenever the temperature falls out of a preset range. The temperature sensors can be used to control new or existing HVAC systems without running any wire. The outdoor temperature sensor is protected by a weather-tight enclosure so that it can be installed outdoors without being damaged.
The Wireless Motion Sensor is used for a wide variety of applications. Common applications for a motion sensor is to control lighting or HVAC based on movement in a room. The motion sensor can also be used for security purposes to monitor an empty building or home. When the motion sensor detects any motion it simply sends a radio signal that communicates with a variety of receivers.

EnOcean Solar Cell
A small solar cell provides the power supply for Battery-free Wireless Sensors. The extremely power saving EnOcean solar cell enables the realization of wireless and maintanence free sensors. The solar cell serves two purposes: one is to provide quick startup energy, while the other is to charge an onboard energy reservoir. Designed to operate indoors, the solar cell requires a remarkably low 200 lux light to generate energy. In normal operation, only a single hour of office-intensity light provides sufficient energy to operate for 14 hours of darkness. The integrated energy store allows unrestricted functionality for several days in total darkness.
